Huber Heights is set to experience significant growth and development following the recent State of the City address delivered by Mayor Gore during the city council meeting on June 9, 2025. The mayor highlighted three major announcements that promise to enhance the community's cultural and economic landscape.
First on the agenda is the introduction of a new indoor music venue, a state-of-the-art facility spanning 56,000 square feet, designed to accommodate up to 3,500 guests. Located at 7125 Executive Boulevard, this venue is expected to open in 2028 and will serve as a cultural hub within the Heights Entertainment District, featuring performance spaces, VIP lounges, and flexible configurations for various events.
In addition to the music venue, plans for a full-service hotel adjacent to the venue were unveiled. This modern hotel will include two destination restaurants—one offering high-end Italian cuisine and the other featuring elevated Indian dining. The hotel aims to support both visitors and business travelers, providing meeting spaces and utilizing the music venue for expanded event opportunities.
The third announcement focused on the highly anticipated Dublin 7 project, which will bring an upscale Irish-inspired restaurant and entertainment venue to the area. This establishment is expected to host a signature festival on St. Patrick's Day, drawing thousands of visitors and boosting local tourism.
These developments come at a time when Huber Heights is witnessing a population increase of 14.2%, now exceeding 43,000 residents. The city has also seen a rise in median household income by over 28%, reaching more than $76,000, which has contributed to the opening of 30 new businesses in the past year alone.
The city council meeting also addressed ongoing improvements in public services, including the addition of new staff in the fire and police divisions, and the completion of various infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing community safety and accessibility. With over 1,000 housing units currently under construction and nearly 2,700 more approved, Huber Heights is on a path to sustained growth and success.
As the city moves forward, Mayor Gore emphasized the importance of community involvement and collaboration in shaping Huber Heights into a vibrant and economically thriving destination. The announcements made during the meeting signal a commitment to fostering a connected community that values progress and opportunity for all residents.
