Tablewood community enhances park with irrigation system and security cameras

Residents of Tablewood will soon see enhanced safety and aesthetics in their community park following a recent proposal for funding at the CLV Neighborhood Partners Fund Board Meeting. The board has requested $5,000 to install a permanent surveillance system, which includes two security cameras aimed at deterring vandalism and ensuring the safety of park-goers.

The park serves as the only common space for the community, making its upkeep and security a priority. Over the past few years, significant improvements have been made, including the installation of a deep irrigation system to support the park's ecosystem, repairs to playground equipment, and the addition of landscaping features. These enhancements have transformed the park into a vibrant space for families and children, who frequently utilize its facilities.

Miriam, a board member, highlighted the importance of the park as a gathering place and noted that previous upgrades, such as the installation of a water fountain and the replacement of dead trees with new plantings, have greatly benefited the community. The proposed security cameras will provide continuous monitoring, addressing concerns about vandalism and ensuring that the park remains a safe environment for all residents.
