Richland 01 celebrated the dedication of its long-serving employees during a heartfelt recognition ceremony at the Board Meeting on May 29, 2025. The event honored staff members who have reached significant milestones in their careers, showcasing the commitment and service of individuals within the district.
Among the honorees, several employees were recognized for their 25 years of service, including Rhonda Stedman from Burton Peck Elementary School. The ceremony continued with a tribute to those who have served for 30 years, featuring Theresa Aiken from Nutrition Services and Terry Finch from Hayward Career and Technology Center, among others. Each honoree received applause from the audience, highlighting the community's appreciation for their contributions.
The meeting also acknowledged employees who have dedicated 35 years to the district, including Robert Harris from Financial Services. Additionally, two individuals were celebrated for their remarkable 40 years of service: James Edmonds from Special Services and Harriet Ethridge from Saint Andrews Middle School.
Finally, the ceremony recognized two employees for their impressive 45 years of service, Tony Booker from Financial Services and Charlene Chapman from Meadowfield Elementary School, although neither could attend the event.
In addition to honoring long-term employees, the meeting featured a recognition of Kennedy Sanders, a state champion in the Triple Jump from Dreher High School, further emphasizing the district's commitment to celebrating both academic and athletic achievements.
