Othello High School honors class of 2025 with multiple student award presentations

Othello High School celebrated its Class of 2025 with a heartfelt graduation ceremony on June 7, 2025, highlighting the achievements and resilience of its students. The event was marked by a series of awards recognizing outstanding contributions and accomplishments among the graduates.

Miles Glasgow, who will take on the role of ACEB next year, was praised for his energy and dedication to the school. His leadership is anticipated to guide Othello High School into a promising future. The ceremony also reflected on the collective journey of the graduating class, emphasizing the shared experiences that shaped their high school years.

Among the awards presented, Aaliyah Wilhelm received the Citizenship Award for her integrity and positive attitude, while Riley Rodriguez was honored with the Service Award for her commitment to serving others. The Student Activities Award was shared by Jesse Contreras and Riley Rodriguez, recognizing their embodiment of school spirit.

Athletic achievements were also celebrated, with Emmy Pineda receiving the Female Athlete Award for her participation in both softball and basketball, and Mason Perez being recognized as the Male Athlete Award winner for his involvement in football, wrestling, and track.

The ceremony included a special Perseverance Award presented to Savannah Marie Guevara, who overcame significant challenges to reach graduation. Additionally, Benji Garza was acknowledged for achieving perfect attendance throughout his K-12 education, showcasing extraordinary commitment.

Parker Freeman was recognized for completing an impressive seven years of science in just four years, setting a new standard for academic excellence at Othello High School.
