Levi Haywood Memorial Library kicks off summer reading with party and games

The meeting began with an announcement from the Haywood Memorial Library, which will host its summer reading kickoff party on June 25 at 5 PM. Next, the Gardner Museum shared details about two upcoming programs. On June 12, a presentation titled "The Challenges of the International Order" will take place from 7 to 8 PM, following a reception at 6:30 PM. The discussion will feature Ryan McNutt, a U.S. Army veteran and history expert, who will explore the rule-based international system established by the U.S. since World War II. Additionally, on June 26, the museum will host a singer-songwriter festival from 7 to 9 PM, also preceded by a welcome reception at 6:30 PM. The museum's summer exhibit, "Picture Perfect," showcasing photographs by local artists, is currently open and will run until August 24.

The meeting also covered the return of the "Yoga in the Park" series, which will occur on Monday nights from June 2 through June 25, from 6 PM to 7 PM at Park Street Park.
