The initial inspection occurred on May 1, 2024, with a notice mailed to the owner on May 15, 2024. However, the certified receipt for this notice was returned unclaimed on June 18, 2024. A subsequent meeting held on August 8, 2024, saw no attendance from the property owner to discuss the issues.

Notices for the current Building Standards Board hearing were posted at the property on May 23, 2025, and mailed to the owner on May 22, 2025, but the certified receipt has not been returned. An administrative warrant was executed on May 5, 2025, to obtain photographs of the structure, which were presented during the meeting. Notably, no scope of work, financial proof, letter of credit, or engineer's report has been provided by the owner, and no permits have been obtained for the property.

The structure is situated within 1,000 feet of Crockett Academy and has a concerning history, having experienced three separate fires: one on February 17, 2023, another on July 30, 2023, and the most recent on January 23, 2024.

The board's discussions on this case highlighted the ongoing safety concerns associated with the property and the lack of response from the owner. Further actions regarding the demolition recommendation are anticipated as the board continues to address the matter in future meetings.
