In 2024, the YMCA's youth basketball and volleyball programs served over 2,100 children, fostering active participation and community ties. The volleyball program featured three seasons—spring, summer, and fall—encompassing 67 teams and 851 players, with a total of 469 games played. The program also benefited from over 1,500 volunteer hours.
The basketball program, which operated in summer and winter, included 139 teams and over 1,200 players, resulting in 973 games. This initiative utilized various venues, including Lewisville Independent Schools and Faith Lutheran Church, and garnered more than 4,000 volunteer hours.
The meeting underscored the YMCA's role in promoting youth development and community strength through sports, reflecting a successful partnership with the town. The Parks Board acknowledged the report and the positive impact of these programs on local youth.
