The special permit application from Holyoke Retail LLC aims to construct a retail bank, which will replace an existing Bank of America ATM and enhance the area with landscaping and improved aesthetics.

Attorney Ellen Bridal, representing Holyoke Retail LLC, highlighted the project's potential to beautify the intersection of Hamden and Northampton Streets. The site, currently dominated by pavement and lacking greenery, will see the addition of trees and landscaping, creating a more inviting environment. The project has already received site plan approval and a stormwater permit from the planning board, marking significant progress.
