Notably, the city is waiving collection fees during this recovery period. For oversized branches or tree limbs, residents are advised to call 3-1-1 instead of attempting to remove them themselves, as they may be near power lines.

City crews are currently conducting assessments across all affected areas and will continue their regular collection routes to ensure residents receive necessary services. The Austin Resource Recovery (ARR) department is also utilizing its app to streamline service requests and updates.

In terms of rainfall, the region experienced between 2 to 3 inches, particularly north of the Colorado River, further complicating recovery efforts. As the city mobilizes resources, officials remain committed to supporting residents through this challenging time.
