Dallas city officials announced key construction and procurement projects during the bid opening meeting on May 30, 2025, aimed at enhancing local infrastructure and services.
The highlight of the meeting was the approval of a construction request for bid related to the Walton, Walker Boulevard, and Lehi Improvements Project. The city received proposals from several companies, with Abbatross Construction LLC submitting the lowest bid at $1,913,463. Other bidders included Intelligent Traffic Solutions and T Days Utilities LLC, with bids of approximately $8.1 million and $1,827,759, respectively.
In addition to the construction bid, the city also reviewed a request for proposal (RFP) for design-build services to replace designated roof areas and mitigate water infiltration. Companies such as CHC Construction and Phonics Restoration and Construction Ltd. expressed interest in this project.
The procurement segment included a request for bid on herbicides and pesticides, with submissions from DNL Collective Group, Heritage EPG, Real Agricultural Products, Rentokil North America Inc., and others. Lastly, a procurement request for proposal for pension plan services attracted bids from Being Atreus LLC, Diluted Consulting LLP, and Foster and Foster Inc.
