Mayor Meredith Leidy hosted the June edition of the Mayor's Monthly Minute, focusing on the historic Stonehauker Park in Northglenn. Located on Fox Run Parkway, the park features the Stonehocker House, a 1887 Queen Anne style brick home recognized on the National Historic Register. The house, previously owned by the Stonehocker family, has been preserved thanks to the efforts of the Northglenn Historic Preservation Commission and Foundation.

The commission has played a vital role in maintaining the site since it received its historic designation in 1998. Volunteers have worked to renovate the farmhouse, showcasing various historic items, including an old fire truck, fine china, a piano, and toys. In addition to the house, the park includes a barn, a bison sculpture, and gardens.

Stonehauker Park is available for private event rentals, and guided tours can be arranged. Mayor Leidy also highlighted the annual Old Fashioned Christmas event held in December, which features unique gifts, entertainment, food, and a chance to meet Santa. This family-friendly event supports the Foundation's fundraising efforts.
