Texas Senate honors McLennan Community College dance champions and UTRGV student interns

The Texas Senate convened on May 29, 2025, marking the 136th day of the legislative session, with a focus on recognizing achievements and contributions from local institutions and individuals. One of the key highlights of the meeting was the adoption of Senate Resolution 625, which honored the McLennan Community College dance team for their remarkable achievement in winning two National Dance Alliance championship titles. The team, which has a long history of success, captured championships in both the jazz and team performance categories, bringing their total to 14 national titles since the program's inception in 1976.
