Wilmington Council honors Reverend H Ward Grier and Easy Mount Carmel Church's 220 years of service

Ward Grier for his 50 years of service and leadership at Easy Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, the oldest continuously operating Black church in Delaware. Reverend Grier, who has a distinguished background in ministry and community activism, expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in achieving progress for Wilmington. In addition to honoring Reverend Grier, the council recognized the ChristianaCare Resident Union for their historic unionization, marking a significant milestone for healthcare workers in Delaware.
