Wilmington City Council approves zoning changes for recreational marijuana businesses

Wilmington City Council took significant steps towards regulating recreational marijuana during its regular meeting on May 1, 2025. The council voted to amend the city’s zoning code, allowing for the cultivation, manufacture, testing, and retail of recreational marijuana in designated commercial manufacturing and waterfront districts.
