Council announces $10M reconstruction project for Clinton River Road next season

Clinton River Road is set for a major overhaul, with a complete reconstruction project slated to begin in 2026. During the recent Sterling Heights City Council meeting, officials confirmed that the project, which stretches between Hays and North Van Dyke, will cost approximately $10 million. Most of this funding comes from a secured federal grant, ensuring financial backing for the extensive work ahead.

City officials are currently in the engineering phase, which will continue throughout this year and into the winter months. Construction is expected to kick off in the next construction season, but residents should note that no physical work will take place in 2025.
