The ARPA funding, which was received in two payments, was strategically allocated to address pressing needs across six priority areas: behavioral health, housing, business support, workforce development and education, support for vulnerable populations, and COVID-related support for local government. During the meeting, representatives from various county departments presented outcomes from their funded projects. Notable achievements included the establishment of a new recovery and resiliency division within health services, aimed at addressing the opioid crisis and enhancing youth behavioral health programs.
