North Horizon District assesses anti-bullying report with NJDOE approval

The North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District made significant strides in its anti-bullying efforts during the recent Board of Education meeting held on May 27, 2025. The district received a commendable score of 76 out of 78 in its self-assessment under the New Jersey Department of Education's Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act, as presented by Anti-Bullying Specialist Coordinator Jennifer Komoroske.

This assessment reflects the district's commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment for students. The scores, which were previously discussed in an October 2024 meeting, have now been certified by the New Jersey Department of Education, confirming the district's effective implementation of anti-bullying policies. Notably, North Hunterdon High School scored 77, while Voorhees High School achieved a score of 76.

Komoroske expressed satisfaction with the results and indicated that the district will continue to work with anti-bullying specialists to address any areas needing improvement. The next self-assessment is tentatively scheduled for September 2025, focusing on the 2024-2025 school year. The finalized report will be made available on the district's website, ensuring transparency and compliance with state requirements.

In addition to the anti-bullying report, the meeting included a school administrative report from Dr. Berthevat, who acknowledged the dedication of students involved in district activities.
