Despite these successes, Thurney noted a stagnation in membership numbers, with fluctuations leading to a net zero growth. The Chamber is exploring new strategies to attract members, acknowledging that many businesses question the value of membership. The meeting also touched on upcoming events, including the Armed Forces Day celebration and the 1 ID reunion in Chicago, which will further strengthen ties with the military community. Additionally, the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) reported on the successful VetEpic competition, which encouraged veteran entrepreneurship and awarded cash prizes to three standout participants.
