The Mountain View High School graduation ceremony, held on May 25, 2025, showcased a series of special recognitions honoring students for their achievements and contributions. The event began with Ryan Wallstrom welcoming attendees and acknowledging students who have chosen to serve in the military. Graduates enlisting in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard were invited to stand, joined by current and former service members in the audience, as a gesture of gratitude for their dedication and sacrifice.

Following this, Doctor Dan Cowgill recognized the top 10% of graduates, identifiable by their purple, black, and silver cords, celebrating their academic excellence and hard work. National Honor Society members, distinguished by blue and gold cords, were also acknowledged for maintaining a GPA of 3.6 or higher and completing significant community service.

The ceremony continued with recognition of Interact Club members, who wore blue cords for their participation in community service events, and members of the International Thespian Society, identified by their gold cords for their extensive involvement in theater. Doctor Allison Smith then honored graduates receiving a LISA diploma, marked by white cords, for their commitment to the arts and rigorous academic requirements.

The Seal of Biliteracy was awarded to graduates proficient in English and another language, represented by silver and gold cords. Mister Todd Clark recognized students wearing blue and green cords from the Thompson Career Campus, who have achieved industry certifications or secured career opportunities.

Finally, students wearing black stoles were acknowledged based on their weighted GPA, with distinctions for *** laude, magna *** laude, and summa *** laude graduates. The ceremony concluded with Missus Markey Ramirez preparing to announce recipients of two prestigious honors, marking a celebratory end to a day filled with recognition and pride for the graduating class.
