The meeting followed the Golden Apples Award ceremony, where Kevin Pampers and Chi Chi Meredith were recognized for their exceptional service to the schools.

Kevin Pampers, a long-time community member, was commended for his tireless efforts in maintaining the new ice rink at the Jericho Elementary School (JES). His commitment includes organizing funding and ensuring the rink is ready for students, often seen shoveling snow after storms. Chi Chi Meredith, another award recipient, was acknowledged for her volunteer work at the Richmond Senior Center, showcasing her dedication to community service. Although she could not attend the meeting, her contributions were celebrated as a testament to the impact of volunteers in the district.
