Graduation plans took center stage at the St. Cloud Public School District's Board of Education meeting on May 21, 2025, as administrators presented the lists of graduates from Apollo and Tech High Schools. A total of 708 students are set to graduate on May 31, marking a significant milestone in their educational journeys.
Assistant Superintendent Jason Harris highlighted the importance of graduation as not just a completion of high school but as a launchpad for students' futures. "This year, more than any other, students are articulating their plans beyond graduation," he said, noting that students are considering a variety of paths, including four-year universities, two-year certifications, gap years, and international experiences.

They outlined various offerings, including extended school year programs for students with individualized education programs (IEPs) and targeted services for students needing additional academic support. The summer programs aim to enhance participation and engagement, with a focus on social-emotional learning and enrichment activities.
Hanson emphasized the importance of local accessibility, stating, "We are trying to keep them in the local schools," in response to feedback from families. The district plans to run programs starting June 9, with adjustments made based on community input.
The board unanimously approved the graduation lists, celebrating the achievements of the students and the efforts of educators who have supported them throughout their schooling. Harris concluded by reinforcing the district's commitment to preparing students for life beyond high school, stating, "We're not just sending them across the stage; we're helping them find their futures."
