Mountain View High School celebrated its graduating class of 2025 in a heartfelt ceremony on May 24, 2025, honoring the achievements of students and faculty alike. The event kicked off with welcoming remarks from the student body president, who expressed gratitude for the support of the administration, faculty, and distinguished guests, including board member Ada Wilson and superintendent Dr. Shane Farnsworth.
A highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of five retirees, who collectively dedicated 157 years to educating students. The retirees included Brent Hymas, John Bowman, Mac Fieldstead, Corey Thomas, and Kurt Wollinson, underscoring the school's commitment to its educational legacy.
The ceremony also celebrated academic excellence, with top students and three graduates earning associate degrees from Utah Valley University acknowledged for their hard work. The student body president encouraged the audience to applaud these exemplary Bruins, emphasizing the importance of community and support throughout their high school journey.
As the ceremony progressed, attendees stood for the national anthem performed by vocal scholar Kaisa Judd, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Elliot Hendricks. The program continued with musical performances and speeches from graduates, including a tribute to parents and faculty by student leaders Sinead Toa and Lucy Farmer.
