The Pembroke Pines team stood out with their groundbreaking app, IRIS, designed to assist individuals with visual impairments in navigating their environments. Mayor Angelo Castillo led the commendation, emphasizing the hard work and dedication of the students and their mentor, Darlene Lafler.
