School trip explores Bozeman's Museum of the Rockies and Butte's Museum of the Mines

Students from Two River School recently embarked on an educational trip to Bozeman, Butte, and Fairmont Hot Springs, providing them with a unique blend of learning and leisure. The excursion, which took place in January, highlighted key attractions that enriched the students' understanding of science and culture.

A major highlight of the trip was a visit to the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, where students experienced a traveling Native American quilt show. This exhibit, part of a national tour from the Smithsonian Museum, showcased quilts made by various tribes, emphasizing the theme of honoring heritage. Students were particularly moved by the tradition of gifting quilts to basketball players during state tournaments, a practice that fosters community spirit.
