During the recent Tulare County Board of Supervisors meeting, a heartfelt recognition of long-serving county employees took center stage, highlighting the dedication and commitment of those who have served the community for decades. The Human Resources and Development Department presented its County Service Awards program, celebrating employees with 20 to 45 years of service.

Stacy Barberia, the HR Deputy Director, opened the session by acknowledging the significant contributions of county employees. In 2024, a total of 335 employees reached the milestone of 10 years of continuous service, with 178 employees recognized for their 20 to 40 years of dedication. Notably, 76 of these long-serving employees were honored during the meeting, receiving certificates and gifts as tokens of appreciation for their hard work.

The ceremony began with the recognition of employees from District 1, including James Buckholz, a probation officer with 20 years of service, and Doctor Z, a medical section chief of pediatrics, also with 20 years. The event continued with the acknowledgment of those who have served for 25 and 30 years, showcasing the breadth of experience and commitment within the county workforce.

This recognition not only honors individual achievements but also reflects the county's commitment to valuing its employees, fostering a sense of community and continuity in public service.
