During the Bethlehem Area School District's regular meeting on May 19, 2025, a heartfelt recognition ceremony celebrated the achievements of students from various middle schools. The event highlighted the talents and hard work of students, fostering a sense of community pride and support.

Northeast Middle School was the first to be honored, receiving the Outstanding Editing Award. Teacher coach Rachel Shook and assistant principal Toni Darrington called forward students Dashel Brown, Quintin Roy Brown, Macy Fadibin, Cole Frey, Sebastian McCool, Olivia Matson, Jackson Pine, Jay Repnick, Theodore Chang, Cooper Stamets, and Vi Tang for their exceptional contributions.

Following this, Nitschmann Middle School was acknowledged for its students' accomplishments, despite many being absent due to a choir concert. Teacher coaches Bridal Burzynski and Evan Kosen represented the school, recognizing students Kelsey Bolash, Cooper Goetz, Ellen Hirtney, Madeleine Lavinka, Noah Lixo, Maximus Querrey, and Sofia Querrey, who earned the Outstanding Pool Award.

Brockle Middle School also received accolades, with teacher coach Nick Laudenslager and principal Brandon Horlick celebrating students MacKay Hill, Malachi Hill, Naomi Monfrie, Rainier Rosado Florian, and Reggie Sulpaveda for winning the Outstanding Educational Value Award.

The meeting concluded with a special acknowledgment of the student school board representatives, who serve for a year and attend monthly meetings. Their contributions to the school board were recognized and appreciated, emphasizing the importance of student voices in the district's decision-making processes.

This recognition ceremony not only celebrated individual achievements but also reinforced the district's commitment to fostering student engagement and community involvement. The school board's efforts to honor these students reflect a broader goal of encouraging excellence and participation within the Bethlehem Area School District.
