Brevard schools celebrate track success and upcoming graduation events

Transylvania County Schools celebrated a series of achievements and upcoming events during their recent board meeting on May 19, 2025. The meeting highlighted the success of local student athletes and artistic talents, as well as important dates for the community.

The evening began with excitement surrounding the ladies' soccer team, which was set to compete in the third round of the state playoffs against Hendersonville. The match was scheduled to start at 7 PM, showcasing the team's progress in the tournament.

In addition to the soccer team's efforts, the Brevard men's track team received congratulations for placing second in the state championship, reflecting the dedication and hard work of the athletes and coaches involved.

The meeting also celebrated the recent TC Scholars recognition event, where students honored teachers who significantly impacted their educational journeys. This acknowledgment underscores the vital role educators play in shaping student success.

Finally, the board announced that starting June 20, the administration will transition to a four-day work week for the summer, allowing staff to manage their time effectively while continuing to support the district's needs.
