Spencer Shambre, the purchasing manager, praised Nirmala for her reliability and significant contributions, noting that her work touches approximately 80 to 90% of the 1,600 requisitions processed in the last fiscal year. Her humble demeanor and commitment to service were highlighted, with Shambre emphasizing her role as a quiet achiever within the city.

In addition to Nirmala, the meeting recognized other employees for their years of service, including Carlo Del Brune and Jonathan Marjohn, each celebrating 20 years, and Lennox Powell and Yolanda Da Silva, marking 10 and 5 years, respectively.
