The Lebanon County Commissioner Workshop held on May 7, 2025, featured a presentation by Nancy Hanula Evans, who shared insights from her extensive background in construction and community service. Evans, along with her father, Dave Panyola, introduced their initiative, Everlasting Rock Ministries, which combines their expertise in building and community development.
During her presentation, Evans highlighted her 50 years of experience in the construction industry and her military service in the Pennsylvania National Guard, where she served for 29 years. She discussed her roles in human resources and community coalition building, particularly in addressing drug-related issues across Pennsylvania. Her experience includes serving as the state demand reduction administrator for the Pennsylvania counter drug joint task force, where she worked to strengthen community coalitions.
Evans emphasized the importance of addressing adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and their long-term effects on individuals. She aims to leverage her knowledge and skills to help people overcome challenges and set achievable goals through her ministry.
The workshop provided a platform for Evans to discuss her vision for community development and the role of her ministry in fostering resilience and support among residents. The commissioners welcomed her insights, recognizing the potential impact of her work on local communities.
As the meeting concluded, the commissioners expressed their appreciation for Evans' contributions and the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing community challenges. Further discussions on community initiatives and partnerships are expected in future meetings.
