The Sarasota County School Board held a significant graduation ceremony for Pine View School on May 17, 2025, celebrating the achievements of its students. This year's graduating class showcased a diverse range of talents and accomplishments, reflecting the school's commitment to academic excellence and community involvement.
Among the graduates, Ava Wasilewski stood out for her extensive involvement in various clubs, including the Pine View German Club and the Make A Wave Club. She earned multiple awards from the Girl Scouts and was recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction. Ava will be attending Florida State University this fall, majoring in behavioral neuroscience.

Subscribe for Free Nina Waslak, who joined Pine View in sixth grade, has made her mark as editor-in-chief of the yearbook and president of the Asian Advocacy Club. She will pursue a degree in communications at Boston University. Wesley Whelidge, another graduate, has been active in music and sports, earning a Veterans Day Community Service Volunteer Award. He plans to double major in agriculture and biology at Florida State University.
Kaelin Wiggins, recognized for her achievements in the National Honor Society and as a finalist in the Dali surrealist art competition, will attend the University of Central Florida to study psychology. Parker Wilding, co-founder of the Pine View Weightlifting Club and a recipient of multiple scholarships, will major in mechanical engineering and philosophy at Duke University.
Brooke Wolfinger, who participated in various clubs and earned certifications in Adobe software, will also attend Florida State University, majoring in marketing. Joshua Woody, active in sports and community service, plans to study civil engineering at Florida State University. Christine Wu, captain of the varsity tennis team and co-president of several clubs, has accepted an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, majoring in life science.
Annalise Yee, who co-founded the Pineview American Heart Association and has aspirations to become a cardiologist, will attend the University of South Florida's Judy Genshaft Honors College. Abhinav Reddy Yaruba, involved in robotics and rocketry, is recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction and will continue his education at Pine View.
The graduation ceremony not only highlighted the individual achievements of these students but also emphasized the supportive role of their families and the Pine View community in fostering their growth. As these graduates prepare for their next steps, they carry with them the values and experiences gained during their time at Pine View School, ready to make their mark in the world.
