Waukegan High School celebrated the Class of 2025 in a heartfelt graduation ceremony on May 17, 2025, honoring the achievements of its students and the support of their families. The event kicked off with a warm acknowledgment of teachers and administrators, followed by a special recognition of parents and guardians who played a crucial role in the graduates' journeys.
Valedictorian Brandon Aguilar and salutatorian Janelle Giselle Renteria were highlighted for their outstanding academic achievements, with applause echoing through the auditorium as their names were called. The ceremony also recognized the top ten students with the highest GPAs, showcasing the academic excellence within the graduating class.
Superintendent Teresa Placentia delivered an inspiring message, emphasizing the importance of community and belonging. Placentia also announced six students who exemplified leadership and community spirit, each receiving a $500 scholarship from the Board of Education as a token of appreciation.
