The Garfield Heights School District celebrated its annual Roses for Teachers Ceremony on May 16, 2025, honoring outstanding students and their impactful educators. Among the honorees was Seniya, who praised Mr. Dunbrook for his mentorship and engaging teaching style in biology. She expressed gratitude for his support throughout her high school journey, emphasizing how his encouragement has shaped her aspirations in healthcare.
Makai Tate, another distinguished student, recognized Miss Harv for her inspiring teaching methods and the fun experiences in her classes and winter outdoors club. Makai, who is graduating summa cum laude and will attend Kent State University to study aerospace engineering, highlighted how Miss Harv helped him grow more confident and creative.
Lovely Traylor, also graduating summa cum laude, acknowledged her counselor for fostering her advocacy skills and commitment to academics. She plans to major in Biological Sciences and minor in Fine Arts at Kent State University, reflecting her dedication to both her studies and community service.
