The Town of Northborough is set to enhance its community art scene with exciting new projects funded by American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) resources. During a recent Master Plan Implementation Committee meeting, Terry Underwood from the Cultural Council presented plans for public art initiatives aimed at fostering community engagement and beautifying local spaces.

Underwood highlighted two key projects: "Apples Around Town" and a series of seasonal panels. The "Apples Around Town" initiative will feature artist-decorated apple slices displayed throughout the town, creating vibrant community spaces. Meanwhile, the seasonal panels project envisions four large panels representing the four seasons, potentially installed on the side of Town Hall or along Blake Street, depending on community feedback and logistical considerations.

The panels, designed to be visually striking and welcoming, will be crafted from durable materials to ensure longevity. Underwood emphasized the importance of collaboration with the town and community members to refine these ideas and ensure they align with ongoing revitalization efforts, particularly along Blake Street.
