Woodward Middle School students set new track records at Fond du Lac meet

The Fond du Lac School District held a meeting on May 15, 2025, to discuss the upcoming Fondy MS City Wide Track Meet, scheduled for November 14, 2025, at Cardinal Stadium, located at Fond du Lac High School. The meeting highlighted the achievements of student athletes from Woodward Middle School, showcasing their impressive performances in track and field events.

Eighth grader Alec Dizzy was recognized for breaking school records in both discus and shot put, achieving remarkable distances of 143 feet 3 inches in discus and 43 feet 10 inches in shot put. On the girls' side, seventh grader Jahara Posey also made headlines by breaking the school shot put record multiple times, with a top mark of 36 feet 4 inches.

The meeting included acknowledgments of other standout athletes, such as Caitlin Wells, Liam Schafer, Raylee Ruett, and Lauren Burlock, who all achieved personal bests in their respective events.

The track meet aims to showcase the talent of Fond du Lac's middle school athletes on a larger stage, encouraging community support. Events will commence at 4 PM, inviting families and friends to cheer on the participants as they compete in various track and field events.
