A proposed self-storage facility at the Northeast Intersection of Whitesell Street and Swetzville Zoo Road is making waves in Timnath, Colorado, as the Town Council considers a conditional use approval for the project. The facility, presented by Vantana Capital and designed by Jordan Architects, aims to occupy a 1.77-acre site within the Ladera Subdivision.
The facility will feature a three-story, 101,000 square foot structure, designed to meet the high standards of the regional commercial zoning district. It will operate daily from 6 AM to 9 PM, staffed by one to two employees. The design includes secure access points and a landscaping plan that enhances the site’s integration with the surrounding area.

The Planning Commission had previously recommended approval of the project, emphasizing that it aligns with the town's land use regulations and comprehensive plan.
Key conditions for the approval include limiting the facility to indoor storage only, prohibiting outdoor storage, and restricting business operations within individual units. This decision aims to maintain the character of the area and address potential concerns regarding traffic and noise.
Council members expressed positive feedback on the facility's design, noting its aesthetic appeal and potential benefits to the community. As discussions continue, the council is expected to weigh the project's merits against community concerns, with a decision anticipated in the coming weeks.
