The University Place community is gearing up for a vibrant celebration as Duck Days returns on Saturday, June 7. This annual event marks the end of the rainy season and promises a day filled with fun for families and friends.

The festivities will kick off with a lively parade at 10 AM, marching south down Bridgeport Way. Attendees can expect to see familiar faces, including the local high school band and cheerleaders, adding to the community spirit.

Following the parade, Market Square will transform into a hub of activity featuring live music, a variety of food trucks, and engaging entertainment for kids. This year, the South Sound Makers Market is back, bigger and better than ever, showcasing local artisans and their crafts.

In addition to the entertainment, the Pierce County Sheriff and University Place Police Department will have a vehicle display, allowing residents to learn more about local law enforcement. Fire Station 31 will also be participating, showcasing their fire trucks and serving up their famous free hot dogs, a treat that has become a staple of the event.
