A heroic act by a local paramedic crew took center stage at the Moses Lake City Council meeting on May 13, 2025, as officials recognized their life-saving efforts during a critical emergency in February.
During a severe weather event on February 16, the crew, consisting of paramedics Farmer Roseburg and Justin Dominguez, faced a daunting challenge when a pediatric patient required urgent transport to Spokane for specialized care. With ground ambulances unavailable and helicopter transport impossible due to the weather, the team stepped up to ensure the child's safety. Their quick response and dedication were pivotal in the successful transfer, earning them a special plaque and award from the hospital staff, who praised their life-saving actions.
The recognition highlighted not only the bravery of the paramedics but also the importance of emergency services in the community. Mayor and council members expressed their gratitude for the crew's commitment to saving lives, reinforcing the value of local emergency responders in times of crisis.
In addition to this commendation, the council also approved payment arrangements for Luda and Virginia Street covenants, ensuring ongoing community development efforts. The meeting underscored the city's dedication to both public safety and infrastructure improvement, setting a positive tone for future initiatives.
