The Kenilworth Senior Citizens Club celebrated a significant milestone at the recent Mayor and Council meeting, marking its sixtieth anniversary. Mayor Linda Karlovich led the recognition, highlighting the club's vital role in the community over the past six decades. "The Kenilworth Senior Citizens Club has been a pillar of our community, providing support, friendship, and opportunities for our senior residents," she stated, emphasizing the club's dedication to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in the borough.
In addition to the anniversary celebration, the meeting also featured the appointment of two new probationary police officers, Michael Cascarano and Quinn Constable, effective January 1, 2025. Both officers took their oaths of office during the meeting, pledging to uphold the Constitution and serve the Kenilworth Police Department with integrity.
The council's discussions also touched on upcoming fiscal planning, with Councilman Finestrella noting that preparations for the next year's budget are underway. Overall, the meeting underscored the community's commitment to honoring its senior citizens while also ensuring public safety through new police appointments.
