Millersville University celebrated its annual commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 10, recognizing the achievements of its master's and undergraduate candidates. The event highlighted the hard work and dedication of students across various disciplines, particularly in the College of Education and Human Services and the School of Social Work.

During the ceremony, graduates were acknowledged for their academic accomplishments, with special honors awarded in three categories: departmental honors, the University Honors College, and university honors. To graduate from the University Honors College, students must complete specific honors courses, a thesis, and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.35. The highest distinction, summa cum laude, is reserved for those achieving a GPA between 3.95 and 4.0.

As the ceremony progressed, candidates for baccalaureate degrees were presented to Dr. Wuba for the conferral of their degrees. Graduates were guided by marshals to the stage, where they stood proudly as their degrees were conferred. The authority to grant these degrees was vested in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, emphasizing the significance of their academic achievements.

Dr. Lara Wilcox welcomed the graduates to the stage, marking a moment of pride and celebration for the university community.
