West Valley City residents recognized for running every street in the city

The West Valley City Council meeting on May 6, 2025, focused on several key agenda items, including updates on city contracts and a special recognition for local residents.

During the meeting, the council approved a minor change to a contract with C and R Coatings regarding the softball concrete project. The amendment, requested by Councilman Harmon, includes a provision for liquidated damages if the project is not completed by June 30.

In a highlight of the evening, the council recognized two residents who have achieved a remarkable feat by running every street in West Valley City. This accomplishment covers over 2,000 roads and 427 miles. The residents, who initially expressed reluctance to be honored, will be formally recognized at the next council meeting. The council member who brought this achievement to light shared that the runners have been dedicated to their goal, often running between 5 and 10 miles daily.
