Security at Waterfront Park is set to receive a significant boost this summer, as the Medical Lake City Council has unanimously chosen Phoenix Protective Corporation to provide dedicated coverage. The decision comes after a thorough review of bids from three security firms, with Phoenix emerging as the clear favorite due to its appealing proposal.

Starting Memorial Day weekend and running through Labor Day weekend, Phoenix will supply security personnel for eight-hour shifts from Thursday to Sunday. This arrangement will ensure consistent coverage during peak times, totaling 15 weeks of service. The added security will complement the existing presence of local deputies, enhancing safety during special events.
