Communities in Schools reports significant student progress in HEB District

In a recent meeting of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District (HEB ISD) Board, community engagement and educational support took center stage, highlighting the district's commitment to student success and infrastructure development. Sly shared that 92% of students in the district improved their attendance, while 95% showed better behavior and 90% made academic gains. The statistics were a testament to the effectiveness of the support programs in place, with a remarkable 100% retention rate for students staying in school. Sly emphasized the importance of community partnerships, noting that the organization’s collaboration with HEB ISD has fostered a family-like environment that significantly impacts students' lives.

The meeting also featured an update on the district's ongoing bond projects, presented by Mr. Miner. He detailed the progress of various construction initiatives, including renovations at Hurst Junior High and the development of new facilities at LD Bell and Trinity High Schools.
