Spark Car Wash opens new site in Babylon with cutting-edge technology

A new express car wash is set to make waves in West Babylon, promising a modernized experience with state-of-the-art technology and a membership model that allows unlimited washes. Spark Car Wash, founded in 2018, currently operates eight locations across the Tri-State area, with plans to expand into Babylon, Smithtown, Brookhaven, and Henstead.

During the Planning Board meeting on May 5, 2025, representatives detailed their operational plans, emphasizing customer convenience and environmental sustainability. The facility will operate from 8 AM to 8 PM, employing 12 to 13 staff members to ensure a clean and efficient environment. Customers will be guided through a streamlined process, starting with vacuuming their vehicles before entering the wash tunnel, where advanced equipment will clean and dry their cars.

A key feature of Spark's service is its membership offering, which allows customers to wash their cars as often as they like within a month. Non-members can also access the service through a pay kiosk, with staff on hand to explain membership benefits. The car wash will utilize license plate recognition technology for a seamless entry experience, akin to an EasyPass system.

In addition to enhancing customer service, Spark is committed to sustainability, planning to recycle up to 80% of its water usage through underground reclamation tanks and using eco-friendly cleaning agents. The company also aims to engage with the local community by hosting food drives and sponsoring local sports teams.

As Spark Car Wash prepares to open its doors, residents can expect a modern, efficient, and environmentally conscious option for vehicle care in West Babylon.
