This Saturday, May 10, Hubbardston will host a variety of community events aimed at bringing residents together and fostering local engagement. The day kicks off with a Kids Fishing Derby at the Rod and Gun Club from 8 to 11 AM, welcoming children under the age of 12. Simultaneously, the Senior Center and Library will hold a Spring Art Show and Plant Sale from 10 AM to noon, showcasing local talent and offering plants for sale. Across the street, the First Meeting House, also known as the Unitarian Church, will host its annual Spring Yard Sale from 9 AM to 1 PM, featuring a variety of items including baked goods and crafts.

Looking ahead, the Radagon will host a Chicken Barbecue on May 25, with tickets priced at $15 and food served at 2 PM. The following day, May 26, marks the Memorial Day Parade, starting at 11 AM. Participants are advised to arrive at the rec field by 10:30 AM for lineup. The parade will proceed down Main Street, culminating in a ceremony on the common, with ice cream available afterward at the Senior Center.

On May 29, the Historical Society will present "Comet Pond, Cottages, and More" at the Williamsville Chapel at 7 PM, exploring the history of local cottages. The townwide yard sale is scheduled for May 31 from 8 AM to 2 PM, with residents encouraged to email to be included on the sale map.

The community is also invited to the annual town meeting on June 2 at 7 PM at Hubbardston Center School, followed by the Hubbardston Fair on June 7 from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Rec Field, featuring local vendors and activities. The Rod and Gun Golf Tournament will take place on June 8 at Quail Hollow Golf Course, and the annual town elections are set for June 10 from 7 AM to 8 PM at Hubbardston Center School.
