The Sheridan City Council meeting on May 5, 2025, spotlighted the much-anticipated Kendrick Park pool renovation, a project that has stirred community interest and excitement. City engineer Tom Mano provided an update on the construction progress, revealing that significant work is underway, including the installation of a new slide structure and the preparation of a turnaround parking lot.
The historic pool, originally built in 1937, has been a cherished community landmark for 87 years. However, it will remain closed this summer as construction continues, with a projected completion date set for March 2026. This decision comes after a community survey identified the pool as a top priority for investment, leading to its inclusion in the 2020 capital tax election.
