A key announcement was the relocation of Major League Cricket's corporate headquarters from San Francisco to Grand Prairie, officially making the city the home of the league. This transition will culminate in Grand Prairie hosting all games of the 2025 MLC playoffs, including the championship final on July 13.
In addition to cricket, the Mayor celebrated the success of the inaugural Texas Country Reporter Festival, which transformed downtown Grand Prairie into a vibrant hub of arts and music. The festival featured local vendors and live performances, drawing families to the heart of the city.

Finally, on May 31, Epic Central will host Grand Prairie's first Texas Monthly Taco Fest, showcasing the top taco spots in Texas.
