Davidson County officials are gearing up to enhance emergency response capabilities with a proposed $200,000 investment in a new dispatch system. During the Davidson County Commissioners Meeting on May 1, 2025, discussions centered on the need for improved efficiency in handling emergency calls, particularly through the integration of advanced technology.

The funding for this initiative will come from existing phone tax revenues, which, if not fully utilized, could lead to reduced allocations in future years.
