Farmington Public Schools celebrated its winter sports achievements during the FPS Board of Education Regular Meeting on April 8, 2025, highlighting the dedication and success of student-athletes across various sports. Allison Robinson, the Director of School Safety and Athletics, opened the recognition ceremony by expressing gratitude to parents and coaches for their unwavering support. Byron Johnson, head coach of the boys' basketball team, proudly announced that his team achieved a district championship and recorded the most wins in over 15 years. Girls' basketball coach Natalie Yarber reported a remarkable turnaround for her team, which went from a challenging previous season to becoming league champions. She praised her players for their resilience and academic achievements, with a team GPA of 3.7.

In swimming, coach Drew Hans celebrated a strong season, noting that his team finished fourth in the state meet, with several athletes earning All-State honors.
