Tehachapi Chamber welcomes 10 new businesses and plans community events

In the heart of Tehachapi, excitement buzzed through the air as the local Chamber of Commerce gathered to unveil a series of new initiatives and celebrate the growth of its business community. The meeting, held on April 30, 2025, highlighted the addition of ten new members to the Chamber, each bringing unique offerings to the vibrant local economy.

Among the newcomers is Little Caesars Party Express, set to provide essential supplies for celebrations ranging from weddings to birthday parties. Alchemy Jiu Jitsu and Sip N Chill, which specializes in protein shakes and snacks, are also gearing up to serve the community. Golden State Renewable Energy is making waves by helping businesses access free solar batteries through state programs, promising significant savings on energy costs.

The Chamber also welcomed Touchpe Ballroom Dance, which has been captivating audiences with performances, and Simplify, a service dedicated to home organization. AFK Airsoft is another new entrant, preparing for its grand opening soon. The meeting also spotlighted La Bodega de Castillo, which will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a grand reopening on May 10, following a challenging year.

In addition to welcoming new businesses, the Chamber announced several upcoming events aimed at fostering community engagement and supporting local enterprises. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new computer lab at the Salvation Army, funded by Cheers to Charity, is scheduled for May 14, providing local youth with valuable resources after school.

On May 12, a "Lunch and Learn" session will focus on cybersecurity for small businesses, addressing critical issues like password management and phishing scams. This initiative reflects the Chamber's commitment to equipping local businesses with the knowledge needed to navigate modern challenges.

The highlight of the month will be the Tehachapi's Finest gala on May 31, a celebration recognizing outstanding local businesses and citizens. This year, the event will feature an Academy Awards-style format, with nominees announced before the winners are revealed, adding an element of suspense and excitement.

As the meeting wrapped up, plans for future events were also unveiled, including a job fair on June 28 and a public business showcase on July 24 at Meadowbrook Park. These initiatives aim to connect job seekers with local employers and provide businesses with a platform to engage with the community.
