The Franklin Regional School Board of Directors held a Committee of the Whole meeting on April 22, 2025, addressing several key topics, including student achievements and updates on school sports programs.

Superintendent Dr. Peraino presented the monthly report, highlighting the "Students of the Month" program. This initiative recognizes students for their critical thinking and integrity, with nominees selected by teachers and voted on by counselors and nurses. The recognized students included Lydia Rogers (6th grade), Declan Lynch (7th grade), and Blake Beidler (8th grade) for critical thinking, while Ethan Borders (6th grade), Sofia Olson (7th grade), and Rose Phillips (8th grade) were honored for integrity.
Student representatives also provided updates on athletic achievements. Notably, Jamie announced breaking the school high jump record with a jump of 5 feet 5 inches. The baseball team currently holds a record of 9 wins and 3 losses, while the softball team stands at 7 wins and 3 losses. The boys' lacrosse team has a record of 6 wins and 5 losses, and the girls' lacrosse team leads their section with 6 wins and 3 losses. Additionally, the boys' volleyball team is in its inaugural season with a record of 3 wins and 4 losses.
A significant highlight from the meeting was the fundraising success of THON, which raised over $33,000 for charity, showcasing the community's support and student involvement.
